Mark and Ginger Widener are our Children’s Ministry Coordinators. They have been married for 18 years, and have 2 children, Izzy and Caleb. The Wideners have been a part of  New Day since 2014, have both graduated from the School of  Ministry, and have a passion to see the kids grow in their
relationship with the Father.

When someone in the church could use a hand with some meals to help get through the week after an occurrence such as an injury, sickness, surgery, bereavement or the arrival of a new baby, Kristie is there to help coordinate things. We are thankful for her ability to connect people with one another and bring joy into any situation.



The Kinnears

Kelvin Kinnear, Building Project Coordinator
Kelvin and Sue hail from the Buckeye State of Ohio. They are actively involved with the 50+ crowd here at New Day. Kelvin led the renovation of our church office and multipurpose room and is our go to guy for coordinating future building and improvement projects.

Mike and Kim were married in November of 2008 and have two small children. Mike is native to the Charleston area and Kim is originally from Saratoga Springs, NY. The Benders started attending New Day in 2013 and have fallen in love with the culture of intimacy with the Father and with the church family. They both attended our School of Ministry and currently serve in Community Connections and Children’s Ministry. They are excited about their latest God-calling to serve as New Day’s Youth Pastors.

Jody and Shannon have been married for eight years and have four amazing children together. Jody was born and raised in Summerville, SC, and Shannon grew up both in Germany and America. They have attended New Day since 2012 and graduated from The School of Ministry. Their heart is to see the Father’s love poured out through outreach locally and internationally, and they have a special passion for Haiti and helping to coordinate and lead ministry teams there.

staciStaci Miller, Intercession

Intercession is very important here at New Day.  Each week several New Day people get together to pray specifically over the ministry teams, the leaders, the church, and the area.  Staci, who is a School of Ministry graduate, currently directs this team of amazing prayer warriors.

reslerMike Resler, Treasurer

Mike is a Board member of New Day Church South Carolina, and is a volunteer who records and disperses all finances for the church. Mike and his wife Linda have lived in Summerville since January of 1995, and have two children. Mike has an extensive background in finances and is a blessing to our financial team here at New Day.

vails2Steve & Beth Vail, Mobile Prayer Group

Steve and Beth have been married for 31 years. They have two grown children with spouses all wonderful, and a precious granddaughter. Steve is from Summerville, and Beth is from Lancaster, PA. Both are graduates of The School of Ministry, and Beth has attended The Father Heart A School. They have a heart for intercessory prayer, the prophetic, and a great desire to see God’s people set free and living out their destiny.

WeadsJeff & Claire Wead, Hospitality

Each Sunday you will find Jeff and Claire moving about making sure that everyone who enters New Day for the first or fifteenth time feel welcomed and at home.  Their passion is to show one of the foundational elements of New Day’s culture that keeps people coming back each week – hospitality. They oversee the greeting team, intersection, the welcome table and meals for sick families.

Kat currently leads our Young Adults ministry called The Table.  Each week these college + aged peeps get together to spend time with Jesus and each other.
