About

About Scott and Stephanie Jones

About eight years ago the Lord made an indelible impression upon our hearts.  He enlightened the eyes of our understanding (Eph 1:17) and we saw the church from His perspective.

It changed everything.  It changed the way we think about ministry.  It changed the way that we think about church.  Really, it did....

We saw His affection for His bride, the church.  We heard (in the most personal way) His call to make her ready for Him.  Maybe one day we'll get around to telling you the story.  Frankly, we know the church is not perfect, but we believe (we really really do) it is going to be…one day!

The bible says that Jesus is coming back for a "glorious church".  We have committed our lives to the pursuit of nourishing and cherishing the church like Jesus does.  We love to minister encouragement and to equip the church with the knowledge of God as Father and Christ as Bridegroom.

We teach out of what God has shown us and the stories He is writing though our lives - and there are lots of them!

We received training at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship School of Ministry both as students and as staff.  Stephanie is from England and Scott is from Kalamazoo MI. For the last 6 years we have served as Associate Pastors at New Day Community Church, Kalamazoo, MI, where we oversee the counseling, prayer and prophetic ministries.  It is always our desire to see others learn and grow in these areas.

About our Family

Scott is from Detroit, Michigan and Stephanie is originally from England, U.K.  We met at TACF School of Ministry in Toronto, Canada, in 1998. We fell in love, trained and worked (in that order!).  In September 2008, we relocated to South Carolina with our two sons, Samuel (5), Isaac (3), and our two daughters, Lily (18 months) and Matilda (newborn).  I think we are done now....yes WE ARE all done with having babies.

Our children are amazing!  We are learning more of the mysteries of God through our 5 year old son than we could have expected.  Recently Sam said “Daddy, you are big!” He paused.  He thought and continued, “and I am little”.  It is in moments like these that we truly understand the sentiments of child-like faith.  We want to live in that place too, don''t you?  Father, you are big....and we are little.

About New Day Church SC

New Day Church SC, so named after the “Mother church” in Kalamazoo, MI,
will begin monthly meetings on October 5th 2008.
Launching as a Partners In Harvest (PIH) church, we will be promoting the core values of: The Father’s Love, Intimacy (Hearing God’s Voice), Healing and Restoration and Experiencing His presence.  Our vision is to build a community church where Jesus Christ is worshipped in spirit and in truth.   Of course, if you know the Joneses, you know that the entire operation might be quite creative, with a zany touch - Amen?
